The real Marsala wine is the result of the ground and of the history from which it derives and of the people with whom it daily lives. The sea gives it a particular smell; the cooper makes the best casks to contain and to age the wine; the sea, always shining, is a basic element: it helps the grape to ripen and in addition it gives the grape the typical characteristics of Marsala wine.

In such a way one of the most appreciated dessert wines throughout the world is produced. Its fame, begun thanks to the English trader John Woodhouse in 1773, is to its highest also thanks to our family, who is the sole owner of "Martinez" trademark. From 1866 to now we are at our fifth generations, but we do not feel symptoms of tiredness, on the contrary we continue to keep high Marsala wine's prestige and we always aim at quality, by improving it in order to meet the needs of today's market.
In more than 130 years of activity, since the two brothers Carlo and Francesco Martinez started the production and the trade of Marsala wine in 1866, Martinez trademark has always been synonym of quality and euen today the couple Martinez-duality is still very topical.

The ancient traditions, jealously preserved by us, the great experience and the use of updated and renewed production techniques which guarantee safety and stability, make possible to satisfy the most refined tastes.

The nectars give a touching austerity, made of a long ageing in wood casks and of a long time, necessary to reach a very refined taste.
